THE TRAINING PROGRAM
in Somatic Intuition is designed to provide bodyworkers, counselors, therapists, healing professionals and individuals with a way to systematically explore and develop their natural ability to attune to and intuitively understand the person they are working, communicating or interacting with.
Each of the four weekend workshops builds upon the skills of the prior workshops, giving participants the opportunity to refine, deepen and expand their intuitive – empathic skills.
SOMATIC INTUITION I - INTRODUCTION
This first weekend workshop is designed to provide participants with the opportunity to heighten, refine, and direct their spontaneous intuition. The focus will be on gently attuning to the presence of another person, exploring our intuitive understanding of ourselves and on practicing skills such as Intuitive Imagery, Felt Sensing, Amplifying, and Somatic Attunement in large and small group formats with discussion / supervision.
SOMATIC INTUITION II – INTUITIVE SENSING
Somatic Intuition II builds upon the skills of intuitive attunement and spontaneous intuition explored in Somatic Intuition I. The focus of this weekend is on developing and practicing the skill of ONGOING INTUITIVE SENSING. The goal is to open to the free flow of subtle intuitive insight and on tracking and sensitively communicating what our intuition brings to consciousness. Practice will be in large and small group formats with demonstration, discussion and supervision.
SOMATIC INTUITION III -- Emotion, Meaning, Presence
At the center of working intuitively with another person is the intuitive - empathic dialog. We do not create this dialog; it is naturally present in any person-to-person meeting. Within the context of this natural dialog three important processes are interacting and supporting it’s flow: presence, shared intuitive understanding of personal meaning, and emotional unfolding.
This workshop looks at each of these three processes in more depth. A framework for understanding the structure of presence, for tracking and mapping personal meaning and for understanding the stages of emotional unfolding will be discussed and experientially explored in large and small group formats.
SOMATIC INTUITION IV – MOMENTS OF OPENNESS
The goal of this workshop is to help participants feel confident and open as the intuitive-empathic dialog deepens and the relationship begins to unfold. Important to gaining this confidence is the understanding and mastery of depth listening skills and the recognition of “moments of openness”. In these moments the openness of the client and the skillful intuitive listening presence of the practitioner creatively combine to expand and deepen their person-to-person dialog. This workshop will help participants recognize these moments and weave them into their growing intuitive skills. Work will be in large and small group formats with discussion and supervision.
